Memory Training Using The Alphabet

Just like you train your muscles by lifting weight in the gym, your brain needs training too. But instead of lifting a weight you will be training your memory and brain to memorize things. That’s the main task of the brain anyway.

The Alphabet Forwards

The basic thing that I actually started with was memorizing the 26 alphabets of the English language. The best way to do this is memorize the letters both backwards and forwards. I of course knew the alphabets since I was in High school but I did not knew them so perfectly until I trained my memory. Learning the alphabets backwards seemed boring and difficult and I did not think that I could do it but I did it in the end. To make it easier for me to do this I divided the letters in to 3 groups a group of 9, 9, and 8 letters in each part.

  • Batch one: A B C D E F G H I
  • Batch two: J K L M N O P Q R
  • Batch three: S T U V W X Y Z

When I was learning to memorize the alphabets forward I began with the first batch and ended with batch three. Learning forwards was literally very simple. Because as I have said I had learnt all about it since I was in high school. So it did not take up much of my time. The English alphabets are short and easy to remember somehow like some kind of a song.

The Alphabet Backwards

Yes it was simple to learn but in the beginning I was still not very perfect but I kept on going without giving up. I always repeated alphabets at any time I could and within a very short time I became good at it. Within a week I was saying the alphabets both backwards and forwards almost perfectly. I did not stop there, I wanted to keep learning and keep training my memory even more.

I used the same procedure I was using back in high school to learn both forward and backward and learning forwards was super easy but the same thing cannot be said when it comes to memorizing the letters backwards at least that was what I was telling myself. But being frank with you, it was so much easier. Easier than you can ever imagine. I started learning from batch 3 moving all the way to batch one. As you remember batch 3 had 8 letters, so I started with Z Y X W V U T S then moved to batch two and finally to batch one.

Running a successful online business requires a lot of effort, time and experience. Every single day I must find ways to fix the problems I face, in order to be successful and keep my business in business. Nowadays things change really fast and you must be aware of current and upcoming trends, fully understand and follow them, otherwise, you take deadly risk of becoming out-dated, obsolete and useless. This is why I want to share all my skills and experience with all you out there. Basically, it is the main propose of me creating this blog, also another important reason for this blog was the need and wish to train my English writing skills, as it clearly needs a lot of polishing 😉
